Here we are - the travelling quartet. Our conversations at present are continually and excitedly peppered with, "How do you feel about travelling on this train?" or "What sort of hotel are you happy to stay in?" or "How rough are you prepared to go?" or "Did you get my last e-mail about the plane bookings? What did you think?" or"How much did your vaccinations cost?" ETC!P told me that the guest house he was looking into had a pet snake and it got moved from room to room for the guests to pat! Needless to say I reacted and told him we definitely would not be going there then - to which he roared with laughter and told me he was just joking but that there were monkeys on the balconies which can be a pest. We are planning to stay a few nights on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi in a guest house there. Will be interesting. Going on an overnight train from Agra to Varanasi. Think a sleeping tablet might come in handy for me. We will all share in a 4 berth compartment. Fun!!
I plan to have all my life as I know it blown apart on this trip!
