Well, just because I do not want it to seem that life has stopped for us, I am writing a new entry!
Yesterday I travelled up to see A and j in their new homes. Phil was working so it was a trip on my own. Great to see J's hostel and to hear that she is happy in the new surroundings and with her new studies. Also good to see A's new flat and see him also venturing into new horizons with study this year. Nice also to visit the Eds and catch them all at home. Was a brief time up there but enough to now be able to imagine where A and J are when I speak with them.
As for P and for me, well, we are enjoying being back to 'Derby and Joan' again after the long holidays. Next weekend we are going to venture away in the caravan for a couple of nights - maybe to Ohope again. Very much looking forward to it. P has found 30 small jobs to do on the caravan, even though we bought it with nothing really needing to be done! New washers for window catches; new window struts to replace a broken one; new rubber beading to go in the slots on the outside; leaky windows to be fixed; a new stove to replace the original 1976 model which looked a bit suspect; etc. Has kept a man who needs a hobby and a focus, busy. We love just going out and sitting in it - feels like we are away in a park. I have just done marking and other work out there this afternoon - felt wonderful instead of being up at my desk with no view and no real fresh air. What a blessing.
School is going well. Lovely classes; new units of work are keeping me busy; new people in the department are keeping me busy. It is a great time of life.
