Hard to believe it but all but 2 pieces of work have been marked and all five lots of reports have been done. God has kept me healthy as I have done it. He has been good to me.
Simply ridiculous amount of work actually and I do not know how anyone who works as a teacher and only does their job from 8.00 am until 5 pm can manage it!!
Never mind.
Now it is 'all hands on deck" as we struggle to try to link the new curriculum to the content of our course at school. It seems a never ending cycle of paper work and all for very little of great consequence. So much detail and so much thought. So much accountability and so much time. When will we get back to the students? It is not all bad as it does cause us to focus on why we teach and how we do it. I have learnt so much more about that this year and have had some victories!
Time to move on. Three weeks left of not being Head of Department and then a different sort of focus will hit.
