WALKING to fabulous places with indescribable sights of beauty and majesty
Captain Cook Lookout!! AMAZING VIEWS.

Cascade Wharf and coastline in the wild weather

Walking down to the deserted Anson Bay.

And then... P, P and R went fishing one day on a fishing charter! Look at how the boats have to be lowered into the sea and then hoisted up by crane.

We watched all the cars and cargo being brought ashore from a ship like this also. Amazing. The tourists turn out to watch the amazing sight - whatever vehicles they have on the island have to be straddled between two boats and then they are hoisted up onto the wharf.

Anyway, P and P caught loads of fish - even if it was not in the way Fisherman P. R. would have liked - whilst R suffered perpetual sea sickness which was largely ignored by the all male crew.

So we then also enjoyed fish dinners and BBQ dinners - lots of laughs and philosophical chats - GREAT memories have been made again.

We also saw some greeblies in the shape of HUGE SPIDERS with HUGE webs - have a look

Anyway - there was time for reading, time for swimming and time for all things necessary for relaxation and enjoyment. We love the laid-back simplicity of this place - the beauty of it - the wonderful Cascade Apartments with their magnificent views and the caring hosts, P and B. It was a treat and we feel all the better for having had it -
EXCEPT that we have come home to our little puddy tat, Portia, having gone awol. We saw her last when we arrived home here at 5 am - since then, she is nowhere to be found. Very sad household tonight. We have put notices in letter boxes and can only pray that she might be able to get herself back home if she is injured - or that someone might find her. She has never gone missing before.
