Cambodia 2

We got up at 5am and went to breakfast at 5.30, buses left at about 6.15am. Restaurant was already full of habitat people. Breakfast is so expansive that we have to pace ourselves over the week. As I have already said, the Cambodiana is everything the Syura Palace isn't. It is a huge hotel. Probably the best in Phnom Penh.
Imagine a sauna turned up as high as it will go, then you throw water on the rocks, add a couple of sun lamps and that's what it has been like today. It is so hot and humid that 6 people collapsed on site today. I have never sweated as much as this. We must drink 1-2 bottles of water per hour or else you will end up at the first aid post. However, we both survived well. You would have absolutley hated the heat and humidity.
Good to see J fitting in so well and working on the same house as me, though not always with me. By the end of the day we were exhausted and soaking wet. Buses left site 5pm for 1 1/4 hour drive back to the hotel.
Tonight we all bused to a huge buffet restaurant for dinner. This place was massive, there were probably 100s of people there. Our party took up the whole second floor. I have never been in such a huge place. Even the staff had walkie-talkie radios to communicate. Huge array of food - most of which we couldn't identify. We decided to stay away from such dishes as quail and fried frog.
Back at hotel now and ready for bed. A tiring but very satisfying day. Making lots of new friends. J seems to be finding her feet.
