Day 4: P's report

Well we have completed day four.
Each day we arise at 5am and breakfast at 5.30 by 6.15 we are heading for the buses which arrive at the Cambodiana for the 6.30 departure and 1hour 15m in drive to the build site. we work from 8am till 4.30pm then clean up departing at 5pm arriving back at hotel at around 6.15pm - but the last two days we have worked till 5.30pm arriving back at hotel at 7.15pm in the dark. Its hot dirty and quite tiring but I am really pleased to be here and be part of all this. There are around 250 people on site at any one time of which 150 are international volunteers. So glad we have nice hotel to come home to "crash in". J and I head straight to the pool after work then have a buffet dinner in the restaurant (or city restaurant if we are being bused out for dinner (meals are included in the participation fee thankfully).
J is working well and getting on fine with the team on our house - house 3. Today she was scrubbing bricks, painting, fetching buckets of cement, supplying cordless drill batteries and cleaning up etc etc.I am proud of her and we are getting on fine.
We are both well and getting used to the climate which has not been as bad these last two days - still hot! My right elbow has swollen and giving a little trouble this afternoon but I have Voltarin tabs so hopefully better by tomorrow , slight improvement as I write this. A small number have had upset tummies etc but we are absolutely fine though J did have mild sore throat, but improving I think.
For some reason the hotel dim the lights around now and I can hardly read the key board, extremely difficult to type this.Lots to tell but it will have to wait till we are home.
Tired but having a great adventure -
Looking forward to a slower pace next week. Bus to Seim Reap Sunday (5 hours), fly back to Phom Penh Friday (1 hour) some are are taking 5 hour ferry trip but not recomended in lonely planet

All is well
